Hayat Kimya set to invest $150 million in Pakistan’s consumer goods sector

LAHORE: Hayat Kimya, a subsidiary of Turkish entity Hayat Group will be investing $150 million in Pakistan’s consumer goods sector.

Hayat Kimya is in the business of manufacturing goods in hygiene, home care and tissue categories, reported an English daily.

It will be launching toilet paper, hand towel, facial tissues and baby diapers said the group executive on Monday, stating Pakistan possessed huge potential as an emerging market and was globally the 6th largest population.

The entity is amongst the largest tissue manufacturers in Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East. It also is globally the worlds fifth biggest branded baby diaper manufacturer. Its products are slated to launch in Pakistan during February.

M A Kiğılı, chief executive officer of Hayat Kimya expressed his confidence in Pakistan and said he believed everyone across the globe had the right to access good quality products and would offer the same quality as in Turkey, he said.
