ISLAMABAD: Petroleum Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan on Monday met with Saudi Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Minister Khalid Al Falih to discuss the implementation plan with regard to setting up a mega oil refinery and petrochemical complex in Gwadar.
Both sides agreed to establish a joint working group (JWG) so as to exchange information that is critical to carry out feasibility studies of the project.
Other areas of cooperation, including the supply of petroleum products on a deferred payment basis and the supply of LNG, were also discussed.
Ghulam Sarwar Khan thanked the Saudi minister for his keen interest in investing in the petroleum sector of Pakistan. Khalid Al Falih stated that his country would also look into other mutually beneficial investment opportunities in the energy sector of Pakistan.
