NAB likely to arrest Senator Bazenjo for properties in six districts of Punjab

ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is likely to arrest Senator Mir Hasil Bazenjo, an opposition Senator who recently got defeated in chairman Senate election from Sadiq Sanjarani, in making residential, commercial and industrial in six districts of Punjab along with former Chief Minister Balochistan Muhammad Malick Baloch.

Sources said that NAB Balochistan had asked Deputy Commissioners Sahiwal, Sargodha, Shiekhupura, Sialkot, Toba Tek Singh and Vehari to provide complete details of immovable, residential, commercial and industrial properties in the name of Abdul Malik along with 23 other persons who are the family members of former CM Balochistan and Senator Mir Hasil Bazanjo.

Sources said that DCs of above stated districts have submitted the information about the properties of family members to NAB and anti-corruption institution is going to arrest the defeated Senator in coming days. Sources also said that NAB had a plan to arrest the Senator Mir Hasil Bazanjo few months back but it could not arrest the senator due to his bad health. Reportedly, Senator Hasil Bazanjo is cancer patient and he requested the NAB officials not to arrest him due to his bad health.

NAB again tried to arrest the Senator Mir Hasil Bazanjo some days back but then it came to know that he is the candidate for the Chairman Senate slot. Sources said that NAB got irrefutable documents and is likely to arrest the senator in coming days.

It is pertinent to mention here that Senator Mir Hasil Bazanjo got not win against the Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjarani in no-confidence motion submitted by the opposition alliance.
