CM Punjab announces formation of committee to address business grievances

A delegation of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Executive Committee on Friday has asked the Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif to address the grievances of the business community. The CM assured the chamber members that their grievances will be resolved on priority basis.

The CM also announced the formation of a committee headed by Provincial Minister Malik Nadeem Kamran to deal with complaints and difficulties faced by the domestic business community which will be addressed through the concerned secretaries.

The CM also highlighted the government’s efforts for the economic development in the country and said that CPEC will strengthen Pakistan. He added that there is huge untapped potential for halal foods export and Pakistan can make the best use of it. He added that the Punjab government has drafted a law to deal with the issue of counterfeit and substandard medicines in order to save precious human lives. He also stressed that the government will highly value manufacturers of standard pharmaceuticals

Furthermore, he appreciated the incumbent government’s efforts to deal with the energy crises. He said that due consideration is being given to the construction of parking plazas to resolve the issues of traffic. Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of agriculture in boosting the economy and revealed that concrete initiatives are being taken to allow the development of the farming sector. He also stressed on the need for research and development work to increase the yields of rice and cotton.
