British firm, IJARA ink JV agreement to improve healthcare

 

Kingsman Pharma Ltd, a company incorporated in the UK, and IJARA Capital Partners Ltd, on Tuesday, formed a partnership to improve the healthcare system in Pakistan and ensure a supply of authentic medicines.

The creation of Joint Venture Company Kingsman Pharmacies Pakistan Ltd was witnessed by British Deputy High Commissioner and UK Trade Director for Pakistan, Belinda Lewis.

This business model will significantly improve the availability and affordability of genuine medicines, health and beauty products, and healthcare services across Pakistan. The group’s first set of stores is to open in Karachi later this year with further locations opening in other towns, cities and rural areas across Pakistan within next three years.

The signing ceremony serves as a significant milestone as this British investment will be able to assist Pakistan in improving their health care system and bringing it at par with UK standards.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Belinda Lewis said:  “This is a really positive venture between British firm Kingsman Pharma Ltd and IJARA Capital Partners Limited. It will create jobs and improve training within the healthcare sector in Pakistan. It will also provide a source of advice to help achieve better health outcomes. It’s an exciting project and I’m keen to see Kingsman Pharmacies open soon right across the country.”
