PTDC setting up tent villages in Gilgit-Baltistan for tourism purposes

Islamabad: Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation’s (PTDC) tent village at Ramalake in Gilgit-Baltistan attracted a large number of tourists from across the country during the current season, according to PTDC officials.

PTDC also plans on setting up tent villages in its facilities in Naran and Ayubia to cater to the increasing number of tourists and make up for insufficient accommodation facilities at tourist destinations. The strategy has been adopted to promote domestic tourism by offering low-cost lodging facilities.

“PTDC is making all-out efforts to promote tourism in Pakistan and attract foreigners to witness its scenic beauty,” a PTDC official said. PTDC had already announced a 20% special discount on lodging facilities during the current summer season.
