Gold price surges by Rs600, reaches Rs72,100 per tola

ISLAMABAD: The price of 24-karat gold soared by Rs600 on Tuesday and was traded at Rs72,100 per tola, as compared to the last closing at Rs71,500.

According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 10-gram gold witnessed an increase of Rs514 and was traded at Rs61,814.

The price of silver remained constant and was traded at Rs870 per tola and that of 10-gram silver at Rs745.88.

According to the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Sarafa Association, the per tola price of 24-karat gold in the twin cities increased by Rs700 and was traded at Rs70,500 and that of 10-gram gold increased by Rs600 and was traded at Rs60,440, as compared to the last closing at Rs59,840.

In the international market, the price of per ounce gold increased by $1 and was traded at $1,276 as compared to the last closing at $1,275.
