ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has directed for taking all-out steps to regain the lost glory of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
Chairing a session over PIA’s performance here on Thursday, the PM was briefed him on the transformation model of the national flag carrier by his aide on institutional reforms Ishrat Hussain.
Hussain said that the transformational reforms will improve the financial status of PIA, underscoring that with increasing operations on profitable routes, and improved international service can be ensured.
PIA CEO Arshad Malik elaborated the steps considered for improved operations of the national airlines.
“In order to turn the service into a profitable one, we will have to meet global standards of aviation services,” the prime minister noted.
Suggest Institutional Reforms PIA God Bless Dr. Ishrat Hussain should consider the merger of PIA with Pakistan Railway under the banner of CPEC bilateral treaty for global rail connectivity of Pakistan in Multi Modal Transport, of Freight, Passenger. This will bring a mega change in the world of mobility/transport under the banner of international collaboration with EU standards/accession rights to EU plus Rest of the World. China and EU just launched High Speed Rail with EU, Russia, China and Pakistan with oue bilateral treaty of CPEC to act/broker Pakistan Accesstion to EU, Russia, China, and rest of the world. China recently launched High Speed Rail Bullet trains, but Pakistan will first access China vice versa. I’d closely studied the model and associated with multi-lateral agencies to collaborate. Pakistan and world will benefit. Pakistan Zindabad.
PIA completely politicised airline of IATA, with 0 Code of Conduct. Excels in PR, dance academies, Roosevelt Hotel hospitality, Shaver poultry, highest salaries in Pakistan. This should be given in the hands of Dr. Ishrar Hussain for Institutional Reforms.
Suggest possibly CPEC transportation, mobility to collaborate with Pakistan Railways for operations of the 1st Bullet Train which is launched in China as pilot. The Chinese High Speed Rail travels at the speed of aircraft and in pilot stage in China. Pakistan Institutional Reforms may consider merger of PIA with Pakistan Railways keep pace with technology used in aerospace, vis-a-vis
