The Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme, aimed at distributing 100,000 free laptops to eligible students nationwide, has been postponed in response to the flood crisis affecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
According to official sources from the Prime Minister Youth Programme (PMYP), the laptop distribution event, initially scheduled for July 2025, has been put on hold to accommodate relief efforts in flood-affected areas. The event has been rescheduled by two weeks due to university closures across the country.
A revised date will be announced soon, allowing eligible students to receive laptops as part of the government’s initiative to promote digital literacy among youth.
The recent floods have caused widespread destruction, displacing thousands and disrupting essential services. As the situation in KPK, GB, and AJK continues to unfold, the concerned department is working to reschedule the laptop distribution, ensuring students receive their devices as soon as possible.
The revised timeline for the PM Youth Laptop Scheme will be announced once conditions stabilise in the affected regions. Students are advised to stay informed through official channels.
