Ministry of Industries reconstitutes SMEDA Board of Directors

Federal Minister for Industries appointed as Chairman, with key government secretaries as ex officio members

The Ministry of Industries and Production has reconstituted the Board of Directors (BoD) of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA).

A notification by the ministry confirmed the new appointments, stating, “In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 6(4) of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority Ordinance 2002, the federal government has appointed the new BoD of SMEDA with immediate effect.”

The Federal Minister for Industries and Production has been appointed as Chairman of the board, while ex officio members include the Secretary of the Industries and Production Ministry, the Secretary of the Ministry of Finance or a representative not below the rank of Joint Secretary (BS-20), and the Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce or a representative at the same rank.
