Pakistan to host Regional Transport Ministers Conference in Islamabad on October 23-24

27 countries to discuss strengthening connectivity, promoting trade, and expanding regional cooperation

Pakistan will host the Regional Transport Ministers Conference (RTMC) on October 23-24, 2025, in Islamabad, bringing together ministers and high-level delegations from 27 countries. 

The two-day conference, set to be held at the Jinnah Convention Centre, will focus on enhancing regional cooperation in land, sea, and air connectivity, fostering trade corridors, and expanding bilateral and multilateral ties.

At the official logo unveiling ceremony, Federal Ministers Abdul Aleem Khan, Hanif Abbasi, and Junaid Anwar discussed the RTMC 2025 vision and its objectives. The event is seen as a key opportunity to boost regional connectivity and trade.

A special review meeting, chaired by Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan, was held to assess the administrative and technical preparations for the conference. 

He instructed the relevant ministries to ensure top-quality arrangements, emphasizing that the event would help project Pakistan’s positive image internationally while opening new avenues for trade and economic cooperation.

Ministers Hanif Abbasi and Junaid Anwar reaffirmed their full support for the event, calling it a milestone for regional connectivity. The RTMC logo was officially approved during the meeting, and senior officials from the organizing committee provided progress updates.

Khan also announced plans for a cultural show and exhibition to accompany the conference, showcasing Pakistan’s traditions and hospitality. Government departments will organize public exhibitions to engage a broader audience. Khan stressed the importance of seamless coordination across all departments to ensure the event’s success.
