NAB arrests four more in Rs40 billion Kohistan corruption scam

Total arrests in mega corruption case rise to 36 as NAB recovers Rs18 million in latest operation

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has arrested four additional suspects in the ongoing Rs40 billion corruption scandal in Kohistan, increasing the total number of arrests to 36, The News reported. 

According to NAB officials, the latest arrests were made during operations in Kohistan and Abbottabad. The arrested individuals include contractors Syed Nasser and Gul Zada, government official Nawabzada, and private individual Sabr Jamil.

In the course of the operation, NAB also recovered Rs18 million in cash. The corruption case, which has drawn significant attention, involves widespread financial mismanagement in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kohistan region.
