SECP approves name change, revised object clause, and adoption of Table B under Companies Act 2017

Chakwal Spinning Mills Limited has officially changed its name to Quantum Data Technologies Limited after receiving regulatory approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), the company disclosed in a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Monday.

The company informed the local bourse that its shareholders approved the change during an Extraordinary General Meeting held on 21 November 2025, passing resolutions covering a new name, revised business objectives, and a shift to Table B of the Companies Act 2017.

The notice states that members endorsed “alteration/substitution of the existing Object Clause III of the Memorandum of Association with a new Object Clause” and also “approved the Business Plan.”

SECP has now issued the Certificate of Incorporation on Change of Name, dated December 5, 2025, formally reflecting the new identity. The updated Memorandum of Association, including the revised object clause and adoption of Table B, has also been filed and approved.

Under the Companies Act 2017, the company will continue using its former name alongside the new one for 90 days. The notice confirms that “all necessary statutory filings and returns in respect of the above changes have been submitted to SECP.”
