FBR appeals to citizens for filing tax returns by Sept 30

PESHAWAR: Peshawar Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office (RTO) Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue Sardar Ali Khawaja has appealed to the business community and salaried class to file their income tax returns by September 30.
In a press release issued from the RTO on Wednesday, the chief commissioner said that timely payment of tax is essential for the economic stability of the country, adding that
the government has made filing of returns and tax payment exceptionally easy by providing online services.
“Tutorials, guidance and instructions regarding the filing of returns and online payment of tax can be accessed online at FBR’s website: www.fbr.gov.pk,” he added.
Further, four kiosks have been established at Chamber of Commerce, Provincial Assembly Secretariat, Saddar Road and Khyber Bazaar to facilitate taxpayers while tax office personnel are also equipped and ready to facilitate taxpayers.
It may be mentioned here that the last date of filing of returns and payment of tax is September 30, after which action will be taken against non-filers.
