FBR forms body to resolve refund-related issues in KP

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday constituted a provincial complaint resolution committee for the settlement of issues related to sales tax refund in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

The six-member committee comprises Senator Nauman Wazir Khattak (convener); chief commissioner Inland Revenue (IR) Regional Tax Office (RTO)-Peshawar; chief commissioner IR (RTO, Abbottabad); additional commissioner (RTO, Peshawar); Khyber Match and AYS Electronics CEO Adeel Rauf; and Rakaposhi Pharmaceuticals Director Saad Zahid.

According the terms of reference (TORs), the complaint resolution committee shall review the nature of complaints/issues possible solution and take immediate actions for resolution; follow up with concerned field formation till the issue is resolved; maintain complete record of complaints/issues, mechanism adopted for resolution and post resolution action required, if any; and share data with the board on monthly basis including issues received, resolved and pending for resolution.
