Govt approves hike in prices of life-saving drugs

Islamabad: The federal government has torpedoed the happiness of countrymen by increasing rate of life saving drugs up to 10 percent.

Sources said that despite the opposition of many federal ministers, government of Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqaan Abbasi gave public a gift of this certain hike in prices while this increment will be immediately applicable.

A Federal minister told Online that the decision was taken in the meeting of federal cabinet while summary of this increment was being tabled by Ministry of Health.

Though, even Minister for Health, Saira Afzal Tarar was astonishingly against the decision of this price hike but PM uphold the summary presented by her ministry saying that this price hike will create hullabaloo but medicines’ shortage will be controllable through this increment.

Sources said that the price was increased after the comparative study of prices in India.
