Jeff Bezos sells $736.7 million worth of Amazon shares

Following the transaction, Bezos owns around 905 million shares in the e-commerce company

Jeff Bezos sold $736.7 million worth of Amazon shares in late June, according to a regulatory filing released on Tuesday after markets closed.

The Amazon founder and executive chair sold 3.3 million shares under a trading plan he adopted in March. Following the transaction, Bezos owns around 905 million shares in the e-commerce company.

Bezos sold nearly $5 billion in Amazon stock in 2023.

He founded Amazon in 1994 and remains one of its largest shareholders. According to Forbes, Bezos is the fourth-richest person in the world with a net worth of $234.4 billion.

His latest share sale comes just days after his wedding to journalist Lauren Sanchez in Venice.
