Uber will serve as the official rideshare and on-demand delivery partner of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, as well as Team USA, according to an announcement made Wednesday.
Under the agreement, Uber will use its mobility platform to manage and improve rideshare operations across the Los Angeles area during the Games. It will provide cars, bikes, and scooters to transport athletes, officials, and spectators.
Uber Eats will deliver meals to athletes in the Olympic and Paralympic Village and will offer mobile ordering at select venues for spectators.
“We’re honored to partner with LA28 and Team USA,” Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said. “It’s a tremendous privilege for us to help people from across the globe move around LA and offer on-demand delivery to the Olympic and Paralympic Village.”
LA28 Chairperson Casey Wasserman said Uber’s services support the Games’ vision to provide a smooth experience.
Uber will also work with NBCUniversal during the LA28 Games and the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics to help promote athlete stories and events.
The financial details of the partnership were not released.
Uber is the eighth sponsor announced this year for the LA28 Games, which organizers say aim to be the most technology-driven Olympics yet.
Other sponsors added recently include Honda as the automotive partner, Archer Aviation for air taxis, and Snowflake for data collaboration.
The LA28 Games are scheduled for July 14 to 30, 2028. The Paralympic Games will take place from August 15 to 27.
