Punjab announces electricity, tax relief for flood-affected families

Punjab Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman announced that families affected by recent floods will receive special relief in electricity bills and taxes, while a comprehensive relief package is being prepared. 

The minister said formal rehabilitation will begin once floodwaters subside and damage assessments are completed. 

He added that flood victims are being moved from the hardest-hit areas to designated relief camps, where they are provided with shelter, food, and medical assistance. Government departments, civil society, and non-governmental organizations are all participating in the relief efforts.

Mujtaba Shuja shared these updates during his visit to flood relief camps in Faizpur Kalan and Chuhng.
