Gov increases petrol price by Rs 2/litre

ISLAMABAD: The Government has announced the prices of petroleum products for the period starting October 1, 2017, until midnight on October 31, 2017. Profit reported yesterday that OGRA had proposed an increase in petroleum price of Rs2.36/litre.

On the basis of the prevailing prices in the international market, OGRA recommended an increase of Rs2.35/litre in the price of MS 92 RON Petrol, Rs2.17/litre in the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD), Rs19.32/litre in the price of Kerosene Oil, and Rs14.09/litre in the price of Light Diesel Oil (LDO), with effect from October 1, 2017.

After considering the proposal of OGRA, the Prime Minister has decided that the prices of HSD, MS 92 RON Petrol and LDO will be increased by Rs2.00/litre each, while the price of Kerosene Oil will be increased by Rs4.00/litre, with effect from October 1, 2017, until midnight on October 31, 2017. As a result, the new prices will be as follows: MS 92 RON Petrol at Rs73.50/litre, High-Speed Diesel (HSD) at Rs79.40/litre, Light Diesel Oil (LDO) at Rs.46.00/litre and Kerosene Oil at Rs48.00/litre, effective as of October 1, 2017.
