Progress report on PSM operationalisation sought

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Tuesday sought a progress report on the operationalisation of Pakistan Steel Mills.

A meeting of ECC, chaired by Finance Minister Asad Umar, instructed the Ministry of Industries to ensure early completion and submission of the report on steel mills.

The committee also asked for details on revenue impact and trade from the proposal of the Textile Division regarding withdrawal of customs duty and sales tax on cotton imports.
