ISLAMABAD: Maritime Affairs Minister Ali Haider Zaidi said on Saturday two liquified natural gas (LNG) vessels arrived at Port Qasim, Karachi.
The minister appreciated the Port Qasim Authority team for outstanding performance, saying, “For the first time, we’ve been able to berth two LNG vessels in one tide.”
The minister said the authority was also about to start night navigation in a couple of weeks. “Once that starts, port chocking issue will be addressed,” he stated.

On Friday, Petroleum Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan had remarked that the LNG projects cannot be shut, but can only be reviewed after 10 years.
Talking to newsmen in Islamabad, the minister extended government’s support to the private sector for import of LNG.
“The government will help the private sector import LNG in every possible way,” he has stated.
