ISLAMABAD: An agreement worth thirteen million Euros has been signed between Pakistan and the European Union for public financial management.
The agreement was inked by Secretary Economic Affairs Division Syed Pervaiz Abbas and European Union Ambassador to Pakistan Androulla Kaminara in Islamabad.
Under the agreement, the European Union will provide assistance to bring improvement in macro fiscal policies, process of the budget preparation and forecasting.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Economic Affairs Hammad Azhar said scope of the public financial support will be broadened to Sindh, Balochistan and at the federal level.
He said the government is committed to ensuring equal economic and social progress in the country.
