ISLAMABAD: The Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) has pointed out a total of Rs5.1 billion irregularities in the Ministry of Information Technology (IT) and has directed the ministry to recover the amount.
According to AGP’s Audit Report 2019-20 serious irregularities regarding non-production of record, violation of Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules and Human Resource were pointed out within the ministry.
The report pointed out Rs5.1 billion in potential recoveries in twenty two cases.
Irregularities pertaining to non production of records worth Rs9.666 million were pointed out in two cases.
Human resource and employees related irregularities amounting to Rs239 million were identified in twenty-two cases.
Additionally, violations of PPRA Rules amounting to Rs3.5 billion were highlighted in twenty-three cases.
Similarly, irregularities pertaining to value for money and service delivery issues amounting to Rs316.402 million were pointed out in three cases.
