Gas reserves discovered at Chhotu-1

A joint venture of Nim Block comprising of  Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) operating 95pc stake and Government Holding Pvt Ltd (5pc carried) has discovered Gas and Condensate reserves from its exploratory well Chhuto -1 located in district Hyderabad, Sindh. This was informed by the company secretary Ahmad Hayat  Lak in a notice sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

The structure of Chhuto -1 was tested using in-house expertise. The well was drilled down to a depth of 3820 metres. The well has tested 8.66 MMSCFD of gas and 285 BPD of condensate.
