Marriott Hotel Islamabad introduces new Thai chef

ISLAMABAD

The capital city of Islamabad is thrilled to welcome Thai Chef Thawaichai Saithong at the Islamabad Marriott Hotel.

Born and raised in Thailand, with over 22 years of experience, having worked in many highly profile restaurants and hotels in Thailand and Lebanon, Chef Thawaichai creates dishes that are aimed at giving guests a one way ticket to Thailand.

His in-depth knowledge of the cuisine adds to its authenticity serving creative dishes based on traditional techniques; which carry the breath and soul of Thailand in every bite. The carefully crafted menu at the Royal Elephant is carefully focused on delivering an inventive interplay of Thai flavours and textures, guiding the diner on a gastronomic exploration of noble and provincial Thai dishes.

Thai food is one of the most loved cuisines across the globe and has gained popularity over the recent years in the capital for its refreshing flavours. A harmonious blend of spicy, subtle, sweet and sour, Thai food is an absolute delight for the palate.

“Every dish is an authentic Thai experience carefully prepared to bring out the best combination of texture and taste to every bite,” says Chef Thawaichai Saithong. “Thai cuisine has become more mainstream in the past years, but I would like the depth of the cuisine to be more popular as it is a regional and varied cuisine. I would like to enlighten the diner to go beyond Pad Thai and to find specific dishes from specific regions.”
