Kia Pakistan hikes prices of Picanto, Sportage by Rs 250,000

Manual Picanto and Alpha Sportage now cost Rs 3,600,000 and Rs 7,550,000 respectively

Kia Pakistan has announced a price hike of Rs 250,000 for the manual variant of Picanto and the Alpha variant of Sportage, effective from February 1, 2024. 

According to an official notification, the new ex-factory price of the manual variant of Picanto is Rs 3,600,000, up from Rs 3,350,000. The price includes the cost of CVT. 

Similarly, the new ex-factory price of the Alpha variant of Sportage is Rs 7,550,000, up from Rs 7,300,000. The price also includes the cost of CVT.

KIA has not given any specific reason for this decision, which comes as a surprise to many customers and dealers.

The company said that booking of both vehicles is open on partial payment, and that all new orders from February 1, 2024, will be invoiced and delivered at the new ex-factory prices. 

The customers can still avail the limited cashback offer of Rs 150,000 on all variants of Sportage until February 29, 2024.

The notification also clarified that the ex-factory prices are exclusive of freight and insurance charges, and that any additional duties and taxes imposed by the government at the time of delivery will be borne by the customer.
