Chinese energy firm explores investment opportunities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Proposals cover electricity supply, transformers, and related equipment to underserved areas of KP, as well as employment generation for locals

ISLAMABAD: A delegation from Beijing CNNC Sunshine Electric Technology met with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Thursday to discuss energy sector challenges and potential investment in the province.

The meeting was held at the Governor House in Islamabad.

The delegation included Jiang Weijin, Lu Yang, Liu Jihang, and Pakistani Director Engineer Fazal Rabi Jan. Discussions focused on the province’s energy needs, ongoing power projects, and the company’s interest in contributing to energy infrastructure.

Proposals covered the supply of electricity, transformers, and related equipment to underserved areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as employment generation for local residents.

Governor Kundi underscored the province’s energy requirements and stated that foreign investment plays a key role in economic development and service delivery.
