Pakistan Refinery Limited (PRL) on Tuesday announced the resumption of its refinery operations following a temporary shutdown for regeneration.
In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company said that operations had restarted from September 2, 2025. The refinery had been shut down on August 15, 2025, for scheduled regeneration work.
“Further to the announcement made on August 15, 2025, regarding the Regeneration Shutdown of Refinery Operations, PRL has restarted its Refinery Operations from today, September 2, 2025,” read the PRL’s notice sent to the PSX.
The company secretary, Shehrzad Aminullah, confirmed the development in the filing and requested the PSX to inform its members accordingly.
PRL was incorporated as a public limited company in May 1960. The company is engaged in the production and sale of petroleum products. The company is a subsidiary of Pakistan State Oil Company Limited (PSO).
