Pakistan, China firms form joint consortium to develop regional logistics hub

Partnership to strengthen trade connectivity under new China–Pakistan framework

Leading logistics and business companies from Pakistan and China have agreed to establish a China–Pakistan Joint Business Consortium to develop a regional logistics hub aimed at improving regional connectivity and trade logistics frameworks.

The agreement was reached during a meeting between Pakistani logistics companies and a visiting Chinese delegation representing the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) and Precise Development (HK) Limited.

Pakistan Intermodal Limited (PIL) and Habib Rafiq (Pvt) Limited (HRL) will collaborate with ACFIC and Precise Development to integrate Chinese logistics players into Pakistan’s ecosystem.

The initiative aligns with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs’ vision to position Pakistan as a key regional logistics hub under the leadership of Federal Minister Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by Zahid Nadeem, CEO of HRL; David Chu, CEO of Precise Development (HK) Limited; and Aasim A. Siddiqui, CEO of PIL. Under the MoU, Pakistan will lead the implementation of the logistics framework, while a joint B2B Working Group will be established to execute logistics projects and partnerships.

The Chinese delegation included Yi Jiang, Director of ACFIC; David Chu; and He He Amanda, Director of Precise Development (HK) Limited. Representatives from several Chinese logistics companies such as Yunchuan Cross-Border Company and Shenzhen A&E Container Transportation Co. Ltd. also attended.

The meeting was coordinated by Khalid Taimur Akram, Director (Eurasian Region) of Precise Development (HK) Limited. The initiative is expected to boost trade, streamline logistics operations, and enhance economic cooperation between Pakistan and China.
