Rupee ascend continues as dollar slips to Rs163.72

Pakistani Rupee continued to gain value against the US Dollar for the fourth consecutive day in this week, as the PKR strengthened by 25 paisas against the greenback in the interbank market on Thursday.

According to a tweet of the State Bank of Pakistan, the US dollar opened at Rs163.97 and closed at Rs163.72. Pakistani rupee has gained Re0.79 during the last four days against the dollar; whereas the local currency had gained Rs1.28 against the US dollar in the last week.

Meanwhile, the foreign reserves of the country stand at $19.53 billion as of September 25, 2020, said SBP in another tweet.
