ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday congratulated the governments and peoples of Pakistan and China on the 74th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, reaffirming Islamabad’s commitment to deepening bilateral economic, technological, and strategic cooperation.

In a statement marking the occasion, the president said Pakistan valued its longstanding ties with China, calling them a “cornerstone” of the country’s foreign policy.
