FBR’s asset declaration portal crashes amidst heavy traffic

ISLAMABAD: The portal designated for Assets Declaration Scheme 2019 on the website of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has crashed owing to the influx of people trying to access the site.

As per details, the portal of FBR remained suspended despite continuous efforts of the technical teams.

The FBR chairman has directed to fix the problem on an urgent basis as thousands of people are facing difficulty in filing their tax details.

It is pertinent to mention that June 30 is the deadline for assets declaration. Nonetheless, Prime Minister Imran Khan recently hinted to make another extension for the scheme.

The Federal Board of Revenue has said it has not received any information regarding an extension in the deadline as yet. The scheme’s deadline can be extended by an ordinance, it added.

The federal government on June 1 introduced the Assets Declaration Scheme, with an aim to help people whiten their concealed assets.

FBR Chairman Shabbar Zaidi has already assured that assets declared through the scheme won’t be used for any other purpose, neither would they be presented as evidence in any case.

  3. So whats ur point?
What you are trying to say is that you do not want to pay tax in Pakistan because you do not love the land.
Thats like saying I do not love UK so I wont pay council tax even though I own a house here.

The law of the land must prevail regardless of your emotions.

  4. Unfortunately, the portal is not the only thing that’s crashed. So, has the thinking behind it.

This Tabdeeli facade is a non starter, unless we fix our non development to development expenditure ratio!

And, just who shall bell that cat. Certainly not the present jokers.
