PM orders comprehensive strategy to reduce petrol, diesel prices

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed for comprehensive planning and strategy with mutual coordination of all the departments concerned to bring reduction in costs of petroleum products to provide all possible relief to the people.

He was chairing a meeting in Islamabad the other day on factors in prices of petroleum products, existing procedure and adoption of an integrated and comprehensive strategy to reduce their prices.

The prime minister said lack of planning regarding lowering related costs on fuel products depict their sheer incompetence. Imran Khan said that the incumbent government would focus on long- term planning and would not adopt short-term measures to resolve the matter.
