Four economic zones approved for KP

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC) has approved four locations for economic zones in the province. 

The selected locations include Ghazi Economic Zone (89.9 acres), Chitral Economic Zone (40 acres), Jalozai Economic Zone (257.5 acres) and Nowshera Economic Zone Extension (76.25 acres). 

The approval was made in a meeting of the KPEZDMC Board of Directors (BoD) held in Peshawar, on Wednesday. 

 “The zones will have a well-developed infrastructure in order to facilitate investors and will generate billions of rupees of investments and provide job opportunities to over 25,000 people,” says KPEZDMC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Javed Khattak. 

The provincial economic zone development company currently has possession of the strategically located lands and is expected to soon commence formalities to initiate work on the economic zones.
