ISLAMABAD: Public Sector Development Programme 2017-18 has allocated Rs 16.79 billion to Planning, Development and Reform Division for a total 34 schemes, including 21 on-going projects, which have been allocated 2.8 billion rupees; 11 new schemes have been allocated Rs 4.5 billion and two heads titled “other requirements” have been allocated 9.4 billion rupees.
The lion’s share of the PSDP for Planning, Development and Reform Division Rs 8.97 billion rupees went to those unfunded and underfunded important projects initiated from last years, no detail of those projects, however, is given in PSDP documents.
Rs 500 million have been allocated for CPEC Institute, Gwadar. Rs 1 billion have been allocated for Startup Pakistan Venture, 500 million rupees have been allocated to research, holding of workshops and feasibility studies.
Rs 2 billion have been allocated to acquisition of land and site for Pakistan Institute of Development Economics.
Rs 1 billion have been allocated to National Endowment Scholarships for Talent (NEST), Rs 150 million have been allocated to reform and innovation in Government for High Performance. Rs 370 million have been allocated to Centre of Excellence for CPEC and CPEC Support Project.
