Careem revises fares, days after changing ways customers can pay

Careem is on a roll!

In an email message to users on Sunday, Careem has said that it is revising rates customers will have to pay on different car ride types, i.e., Riksha, GO mini, GO, GO+, and Business.

This message follows another message received by users on Friday in which the popular ride-hailing service said it made changes to the way it receives payments from customers. “From 25th January onward, you can only pay your full fare, or more,” said the message received on Friday. The message had further stated, “This means your account cannot have an unpaid balance anymore. So, make sure to carry the necessary amount with you when you book a ride.

In the message received today, the company which is changing how its economy works said, “We are revising our fares on Riksha, GO mini, GO, GO+, and Business car types. These changes are a direct result of fluctuations in the cost of staying on the road. We appreciate your understanding and support.”

It concluded by directing users to check their Careem mobile app in the ‘Help’ section to see the changed rates for their respective cities.
