KCCI invited to participate in US investment summit

KARACHI: Mark Russel, the Senior Commercial Officer at Consulate General of the United States of America, has invited the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) to participate in the 2019 SelectUSA Investment Summit, scheduled to be organised in Washington DC from June 10th to June 12th, 2019.

The invitation was formally handed over to KCCI Acting President Khurram Shahzad during a meeting held on Friday. The meeting was also attended by KCCI Vice President Asif Sheikh Javaid, US Consulate Karachi Commercial Assistant Tashfeen Mehdi, KCCI former president Haroon Agar and former senior vice president Muhammad Ibrahim Kasumbi.

Mark Russel informed that the SelectUSA Summit is an important event which will provide numerous opportunities to Pakistani investors.

He said that Pakistani firms who are keen to break into the US market, or those who are already present in the United States but want to expand their footprint and seek new opportunities can participate in SelectUSA Investment Summit.

“This summit is an ideal platform to learn about the US business environment, industry trends and new opportunities. It will also give participating companies a chance to form close liaison or joint ventures with US companies,” he added.
