HBL becomes first bank to offer credit cards through mobile app

HBL has now become the first bank in Pakistan to offer credit cards through its mobile app.

According to details shared by the bank, the innovative digital application process is frictionless; customers log in to their HBL Mobile and apply for an HBL Credit Card in four taps. The credit card application will then instantly undergo credit evaluation and the decision will be communicated to the customer within hours. Upon approval, the credit card will be delivered to the customer.

At this introductory stage, the service is available to a select group of customers across Pakistan, exclusively through HBL Mobile.

HBL Global Consumer Banking Head Aamir Kureshi commented, “The launch of HBL Credit Cards through HBL Mobile is an industry first and yet another digital innovation to make life easier for our customers. Through the HBL mobile app we can now provide our customers with a more efficient and paperless option for meeting their consumer financing needs. Late last year, we launched Personal Loans via the HBL mobile app and the response from our customers has been very encouraging.

“To date, we have approved over Rs3 billion in loans. Now, we are offering credit cards through the HBL mobile app. As the largest bank in Pakistan, our digital channels are helping us get closer to our customers in innovative ways.”

  2. Can you please how to apply for HBL credit card using App? I am unable to find this feature in my HBL mobile app.

  3. The Annual rate on HBL Credit card should be at minimum rather than as other Banks are charging.
