Rs644bn released by govt for PSDP during FY20

The total amount released for PSDP during FY20 was Rs56.3 billion lower than the initial allocation

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) government released Rs644 billion against the allocated amount of Rs701 billion for Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) during FY20.

Overall, the government could not release Rs56.30billion allocated amount for the FY20.

According to sources, the Rs644 billion released also included a Rs123 billion foriegn component. Overall, the federal government released Rs572 billion from its own resources in FY20.

Similarly, the government spent Rs297 billion against the allocation of Rs313 billion for federal ministries and Rs170 billion against the allocated amount of Rs155 billion for National Highway. 

The Finance Ministry released Rs22 billion against the allocation of Rs35 billion for National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) and Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO).

Additionally, Rs27.28 billion was released for AJL development, Rs16.58 billion for Gilgit Baltistan, Rs3.71 billion for ERRA, Rs13.10 billion for temporary displaced people and Rs49 billion for security related work. 

Moreover, the government also disbursed Rs2.35 billion against the allocation of Rs5 billion for skillful youth programme, Rs410 million for gas infrastructure development cess, Rs23 billion against the allocation of Rs48 billion for merged areas and Rs15.4 billion against the allocation of Rs24 billion for development work in KP.
